We have experienced a massive growth in the private field during the last couple of years, says Managing Director Kasper Skov-Mikkelsen, The Danish Trade Organisation for Safety and Security. Jørgen Goul Andersen, social researcher, says that private persons’ extra demand for security is caused partly by the vast media coverage of some really nasty burglaries in which a couple of old people were killed, partly the huge raise in burglaries – ”So the feeling of insecurity is not just based on hot media air”, he says.
